This May, third graders at Knapp Elementary School got an early start on mastering money smarts thanks to a visit from the Racine Financial Empowerment Center. Through fun, age-appropriate lessons, students practiced setting budgets, saving for goals, making thoughtful spending choices, and understanding the difference between wants and needs.

Financial literacy is a life skill, and thanks to the generosity of our community partners, Knapp students now have a strong foundation.

Huge thanks to our sponsors: Hispanic Roundtable of Racine, Johnson Financial Group, North Shore Bank, Marine Credit Union, Educators Credit Union, and Landmark Credit Union for investing in Racine’s future.
